About

The seraphim are a class of angels with three sets of wings. (Look at our logo and you get the idea). Whenever they appear to humans, they are always covered by at least one pair of wings, shielding mortals from their celestial light lest they go mad.At the top of the angelic hierarchy are a group of seraphim called the archangels. They each govern a choir of angels. Metatron, the voice of God, is the chief archangel. Beneath him are four archangels governing the four elements and the four compass points: Raphael is the archangel of air and the East; Michael is the archangel of fire and the South; Gabriel is the archangel of water and the West; and Uriel (otherwise known as the Angel of Death), is the archangel of Earth and the North. The season associated with the North is winter; the time of day, midnight; and the aspect of the Triple Goddess, is the Crone, the wise, elderly aspect of the Goddess associated with death and rebirth, and the new or “dark” moon.

Thus, the CroneSeraphim is Uriel, the Angel of Death; the Crone aspect of the Triple Goddess; and an aspect of the Dark of the Moon, a time for banishing and renewal.

CroneSeraphim.com is a site dedicated to shining seraphic light into the dark corners of our culture and politics; of banishing evil, restrictive ideas; of championing the children of the Goddess; and is the home of Dark of the Moon Cronecast: a Liberal (Vivienne D’Avalon) and a Libertarian (Magus Dethen) discussing pagan views of politics and constitutional liberties. Welcome to the dark side!
